I heard you speak at Landmark Luggage in Omaha, NE a few months in preparation for my son’s year long trip to study in Chengdu, China. A couple of roadblocks have presented themselves: Firstly, his zero transaction fee credit card (VISA United Plus Explorer card) is not being accepted????? Secondly, after numerous attempts/time, even with a Chinese-speaking individual helping him, he is unable to open up an account in the Bank of China. He claims there has been a recent U.S. policy that states U.S. citizens may not open bank accounts in China. I cannot find anything that says that this is true.
