I just returned from a 2 week holiday in Europe. I want to share my thoughts on Packing Light 2 Weeks for Men.Yes, I know packing for men is easy but I feel it’s easy because I have a system that works for me. Whether I’m packing for a two weeks or six, I still manage to pack into a carry on bag. Mobility and traveling light is key for me and here is what I manage to get into my carry on luggage. I start with a flexible and versatile travel closet where I can mix and match. Nine outfits can be made from 3 tops x 3 trousers. I can make 16 outfits outfits of 4 tops x 4 trousers. I layer in some merino wool jumpers for warmth and to change things up a bit. Also, traveling light with apparel that is wrinkle resistant, quick drying and with many other technical features helps not only lighten the load but makes doing laundry very easy when traveling. Check out my thoughts below on packing tips for men 2 weeks in Europe. [Editors Note: For an updated version of this article visit my new packing in a carry on article]

When packed properly into my Eagle Creek Pack-it Cubes and Folder, it all turns into these shapes. Now everything fits comfortably in my carry on and personal bag. No need to check a bag!

On the plane I wore this: Oxford shirt, dark jeans and jacket.

Packing Cubes for A Men’s Carry-On

For everything you are folding and rolling, use packing cubes. Socks, underwear, t-shirts, work out clothes, etc…See list above for packing light for 2 weeks for men in Europe. If t-shirts and socks/underwear are quick drying or easy to wash in sink, that’s half the battle.

Eagle Creek Pack It Specter Compression Cube Set 2pc Set – Anything you fold & roll. T Shirts, Work out clothes, base layers, shorts, trousers.

Eagle Creek Medium Pack-it Folder – For Oxford Shirts, Slacks, Trousers, Polos

Eagle Creek Pack It Specter Clean Dirty Half Cube – Socks/Underwear

Eagle Creek Pack-It Specter Tech Quick Trip  – The classic dop kit for the modern travel age. I put non-liquids in here.

Eagle Creek Pack-It Specter Sac Medium – mostly liquids, toiletries, 3-1-1 liquids.

Eagle Creek Pack-It Compression Sac Set (Md/Large) 2pc, – A game changer. So much so some people just pack into these, but they will wrinkle most shirts and pants. I use them for fleece, down jackets, anything bulky or puffy, etc….Bring one in your bag empty and it’s the best laundry bag on the market. I’ve used mine for ages they are much better than the compression bags for home use because they have nylon woven thru the plastic. This makes them flexible. No vacuum required.

Avoid the travel costume. One can still look good and feel good while packing light!

I always have a hard time fitting everything into a carryon. even if I manage to fit all my clothes, I struggle to find space for my shoes.

Maybe try putting your shoes into your personal bag. The bag that goes underneath the seat.
