New COVID Travel Restrictions Announced
Travel is back! New travel restrictions have been put in place to confront the latest COVID-19 variant, Omicron. At the White House, new travel restrictions announced by President Biden will impact all travelers entering the United States.
Regardless of vaccination status or Nationality, the new CDC order requires all passengers to present a negative covid test result taken one day before departure.
This amendment is a change from the previous three-day testing window.
I don’t personally think this will impact travel or change how I travel. I advocate for travelers to get their tests for travel to the United States one day before the trip anyway.
Getting a negative COVID test result the day before travel only becomes tricky if there is an overnight layover on the way back to the United States. If that is the case, be careful with this new change in the testing window.
Will the new COVID travel restrictions announce make it harder to get a test abroad?
